Index Dice is a stylized version of a family of folk dice games including: 10, 000, Farkle, Zilch, Wimp Out, Hot Dice and others.

Roll the dice to score points. Keep rolling to better your score, but take a chance on losing your points. Use all the dice and start over with more!

Many people have played the game, but everyone plays with just slightly different rules. Index Dice can adjust to most of the common scoring and play variations for this family of games. Five common versions are included. You can edit them or create your own variation.

Multiple players are supported and you can play with up to four different computer players (all with slight different play styles). Each player can have a different card color to help tell whose turn it is.

What's New in Version 1.1

- Scoring variations: change the value of any of the scoring variations
- Game variations: change the meld point or the winning score
- Play variations: enable passing of dice, or stealing (sometimes called "high stakes")
- Die variations: play with 5 or 6 dice

Good start, needs work

What I particularly like about this Farkle-type game is the ability to customize rules from a fairly large set of possibilities (there are a few more that would be nice to see...). The problem with the game relates to its visual presentation. First, and I know this is subjective, the game is ugly to look at. The faux-wood background and the sliding computer-chip backgrounds are unpleasant. Game play is also very, very slow. Watching the computer players take their turns is an exercise is extreme boredom. There should be a way to make the computer turns go much more quickly. There should also be an option to automatically sort dice and to allow a single touch of a mutli-die scoring combo to select all of the dice. It seems to me that all of these things are easy to fix and keep the core game in place (which is, of course, the reason for playing in the first place).

not zilch update

First off how is the average rating 2.5 when there is only 1 rating??? i plays this in all options and i am convinced that the rolls are not accurate.. the rolls must be pre set and not by odds. its far too easy to beat this game. fix it, give it stats and it might be 3...

Great game

Good game to play when occupied with something else. Rules are customizable and game plays well.
